Jane Beckwith, Educator and Yoga Instructor
Over the past 18 months, I have lost over twenty pounds and increased my muscle mass considerably. As a 48-year-old mother of two, I feel better than I have felt within the last ten years, and I can do several unassisted pull-ups and chin ups – something I didn’t even know I wanted to be able to do. The 3D Life Fitness Diagnostic helped me make deliberate decisions and take intentional steps to achieve these results.
The results of the diagnostic helped me recognize that I had not established clear and specific fitness and wellness goals for myself. As a tool for self-study, the results helped me realize that I was not as motivated as I thought I was to do the work that needed to be done. I consider myself to be quite driven, but my lowest scores on the diagnostic were ambition, belief of fulfillment, motivation, goals/purpose, competitiveness, and self-esteem. The results also revealed some relative strengths. The diagnostic results and thorough report helped me determine how to leverage the strengths I had to overcome the challenges I was facing. It helped me decide that hiring a personal fitness & nutrition coach and joining a small group fitness group were worth the investment. I no longer pay for personal training & nutrition on a regular basis. I am motivated and confident enough to be on my own now. I do attend small group cardio classes 2x/wk because I learned that working out with others from time to time keeps my competitive spirit alive and it bolsters my motivation and self-esteem.
